Zebra Mussels have traversed
our waterways attached to ocean liners, and in their ballast
water. They are now considered a permanent resident in North
American freshwater systems, as there are no natural predators
to take care of them. The Zebra Mussel is
quite small, and edible if from a clean body of water.
