Latin Name: Canis lupus familiaris
Origin: United Kingdom
Average Weight: 5 - 7 lbs
Nicknames: Yorkie
The Yorkshire Terrier is a small but confident
dog, id barely more then 7 lbs at most, and is considered
a 'toy' dog by most Kennel Clubs. It holds itself upright
most of the time, and always looks cheerful. Their long coat
is parted down the middle, and is tan and dark blue, almost
black, coloured. These small dogs must be combed and groomed
frequently, as their long hair will grow fairly quickly.
Yorkshire Terriers are an intelligent dog
as well. While normally docile, the males of their breed are
very territorial at times. While being classified as a toy,
their territorial nature is due to being of Terrier decent. |
