Like all spider monkeys, the White-Cheeked Spider
Monkey gets its name from its long, lanky arms.
The fact that they have white cheeks also helps name this
primate.
The White-Cheeked Spider Monkey
can be found only in Brazil. They have prehensile tail which
acts as a fifth limb, allowing them to climb and swing from
branches with deft accuracy. Full grown White-Cheeked
Spider Monkeys will reach a height of about 20 inches,
and weigh around 6.5 kg.
