The introduction of predators to their natural
habitats have resulted in the number of Turks and Caicos
Rock Iguanas dropping. Their biggest introduced predators
are domestic dogs and cats. Some locales on these islands have
banned cats and dogs outright in an attempt to assist the local
population of these lizards.
