The Short-Headed Lamprey can be naturally found in the waters around Australia. It is also known as the Australian Lamprey.

Distribution: Australia Maximum Length: 50 cm
The gray to brown Short-Headed Lamprey looks like an eel, flattened slighty, with two small eyes near the top of its head. It also sports two small dorsal fins. The Short-Headed Lamprey breeds in freshwater, while living in salt water. They are considered to be parasites to other marine life.
