The Rock Partridge prefers dry countryside
areas to live and mate in. These birds will eat just about any
insect or seed that it comes across. In its native habitat of
Asia and Europe it is hunted extensively. Since the partridge
does not fly through the air the Rock Partridge makes its nest
on the ground. After mating season the female will lay anywhere
from 4 to 20 eggs in this nest.
