Hatchling and juvenile Emerald Tree Boas
are coloured in shades of orange, yellow and red. As they mature,
the colour turns to a shade of green, normally quite bright.
The green colouration is quite different from most other South
American snakes. The Emerald Tree Boa lives
in the trees, and will hunt for food at night, hanging from
the branches.
