The African Leopard is the most common Leopard and can
be found in most areas of Africa. Some African Leopards
can reach up to 200 pounds when fully grown.
The African Leopard likes to climb high up into
trees to keep watch out for potential prey. Their long tails
assist in their balance when they are in the trees. They eat
a wide variety of foods all the way from small insects to large
reptiles and mammals. Although they are not one of the larger
wild cats they are incredibly strong and have been known to
carry very large prey with them into a tree to eat it.
